If you would like to help preparing the party, let Kris Los know; if you want to donate some money for a gift from the congregation, make a check out to Gisela Moffit (baby shower on subject line). They are registered at Amazon and at Target in case you want to pick out a gift from your family.
Immediately following the service we will have a baby shower for Charles Kenneth Emerick, son of Matthew and Elaine Emerick. We are looking forward to getting acquainted with him and celebrating his life and gifts.

On Saturday, February 16, from 6-10 p.m. at Jameson Hall (just east of Isabella Road off Pickard on Bud Street), all members, friends and guests of UUFCM are invited to a family dance. There is no cost other than there will be a basket at the door to accept donations to cover the rental of the building. Bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverage if you would like. The DJ would like to set up the play list ahead of time, so if you have any requests of music that you would like to dance to, please send or give your list to Norma Bailey (baile1nj@cmich.edu) or Jen Prout (poutyprouty66@yahoo.com). Polish up those dancing shoes!
Our beloved yearly tradition of the Harvest Feast is quickly approaching - Sunday, November 22nd immediately after the service. Sign up sheets are available in the UU Social Hall along with aluminum pans for hot food to be brought in to the Library Annex. We need help setting up on Saturday 3:30-6:00 and cleaning up after the meal if you are not a baker or cook.
If you would like to be added to the sign up sheets, contact Laura McBride at lmcbride010@gmail.com or 989.772.5512. Thanks giving to one and all! On Saturday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. the UUFCM will happily welcome Dana and Susan Robinson, two guitar-playing, banjo-flailing, fiddle-sawing, and harmony-singing interpreters of the American experience. Their unique blend of contemporary songwriting and traditional Appalachian music bring to their performances a deep understanding of America’s musical heritage. The genius of a Dana and Susan Robinson performance lies in their ability to capture the imagination of their audience, evoking a transformative experience that touches on the deepest humanity. They can make the audience howl with laughter or hush with poignant reflection as they take them on a journey across America and convey the mystery and wonder of the places they visit. "Many songwriters have been heralded as modern day Woody Guthries or keepers of the American rural spirit, but that mantle might be better entrusted to musicians like Dana Robinson who embody both the heart and the soul of folk music.” - Dirty Linen Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. No tickets to purchase – a free-will love offering will be collected at the close of the concert. For more information about Dana and Susan, visit their website at http://www.robinsongs.com/ UUFCM’s Harvest Feast 2014 will be here before you know it! We will be sharing our annual meal of thanksgiving on Sunday, November 23, 2014 immediately following the service. We will be convening for the meal in the Library Annex next door. Please sign up to provide a dish to share and/or help with setting up or cleaning up. We look forward to sharing this beloved tradition. Sign ups include:
